echoes of mercy, whispers of love

the wonder and beauty of the fact that
'you provide for those who fear you'

and I, for once, am not afraid of my questions, of my doubts.
For once, I dare to ask you.

What about the others?

  1. I know what you mean, at least, I think I do. I read the bible and all I can see is fear and prejudice. I see where God is saying he shall smite down cities and rip open the bellies of pregnant women. Why, Lord, why? Why punish the innocents when it's the leader that is to blame? There is much beauty in it but all I can see is the hypocrisy. 'Thou shalt not kill', yet there are so many wars. So many deaths of the first born sons. I don't understand. And I can't for the life of me find the answers.

  2. Also, I dreamt about the pizza bar last night. I had the espresso poured over gelati. A cute boy worked there and asked me out, but before we walked out the shop I had to pay him four dollars.

and from what I can see of you're lovely religion, the bible's just a book, and God is something much bigger and much more beautiful. Am I right? Or am I completely wrong? Please tell.

  5. The Bible is God's word, him talking directly to us, pretty much the only tangible link between the spirit world and our world.

    I think.
